Hi, I’m Trilby! I’ve lived in Virginia for the last 15 years of my life, where I went to Liberty

University for medical school and UVA for undergraduate (go Hoos!) However, I spent

my childhood in Austin, TX and claim it as my hometown. Prior to medical school, I

worked as a scribe in a community Emergency department, which locked me into

emergency medicine.

I first heard about the EM program here in Corpus Christi through a residency fair that

highlighted its community feel, unopposed nature, and the opportunity to become well-

versed in procedures. When I had my interview, I was impressed by how competent and

self-assured the residents in their training, and how authentic their friendships seemed. I

also saw how supportive the faculty were of the residents and that they were genuinely

invested in them as people, not just as trainees. I left the interview feeling like this was a

great place to be get fantastic training with amazing people. Being on the coast was

also part of the appeal too!

When I’m not on shift, I enjoy getting outside and spending time in nature (there are so

many cool animals down here)! I also like reading, running, going to the gym, and good

coffee. The beach is also a super convenient place to cool off from the heat and get

together with friends!
