We offer several four-week rotations to medical students. In addition to direct patient care, students participate in simulation and procedure laboratories and weekly didactic conferences.

Rotation options include:

  • Emergency Ultrasound

  • Critical Care - ICU for the EM Bound Student

  • Simulation Medicine

  • Wilderness Medicine (9/28-10/25, 2026)

  • In addition to our traditional Emergency Medicine rotation, please also consider our other rotation options. These are excellent choices if you want to spend time with us but have already fulfilled your school’s limit of Emergency Medicine core rotations.

We offer free housing to rotating students!

Our rotating students can choose to stay in our complimentary Student Housing (as available/first-come, first-served). We have two units at South Bay apartment complex, which is located about 15 minutes from the hospital. Please view the last page of our rotation application for more details.
