Hey, I’m Maddie! I attended Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center in

Lubbock, TX. Wreck ‘Em!! I’m a lifelong Red Raider fan, and football season is

one of my favorite times of the year.

I chose emergency medicine because I enjoy the procedures, fast pace, and

unpredictability that every shift brings. While I didn’t rotate at CHRISTUS Spohn,

I was consistently impressed by everything I heard about the program. The

outstanding procedural training, supportive faculty, and how genuinely happy the

residents were during my interview made it an easy decision to rank this program

at the top!

Outside of the ED, I love being outdoors and spending time with my husband, who

is a mechanical engineer. We love trying new restaurants together, and I also enjoy

cooking and hope to open a food truck someday! I grew up spending a lot of time

on the lake, so I’m excited to trade lake days for the beach and learn more ocean

activities like fishing while living in Corpus Christi. When I’m not working, you’ll

usually find me playing sand volleyball, pickleball, football, or hanging out with

our two dogs, Karlie and Goose!
