I’m Scott King. I was born in Oklahoma but moved to the Bay Area when I was two and

grew up there until I left for college. While in college at the University of Oklahoma, I

joined the Army National Guard as a combat medic and will continue to serve as a

physician. I spent four years between undergrad and medical school living in Dallas and

knew I wanted to stay in Texas.

I spent my third year of medical school doing my rotations in Corpus Christi and fell in

love with Christus Hospital and the doctors and medical staff here. Everyone worked

collaboratively, helped each other, and was always willing to teach others. My

emergency medicine rotation sealed the deal for me on spending three years here for

residency. All the attendings and residents demonstrated high levels of skill and

consistently taught medical knowledge.

Corpus Christi offers a ton of activities, and you are always close to a beach with plenty

of outdoor options almost year-round. Corpus also offers a ton of great restaurants and

a ton of variety. I enjoy video games, golf, grilling, and exercising.
