Welcome to Corpus Christi’s EM program! You HAVE to come rotate here. There’s free food, free housing, unopposed procedural access, and the program is incredibly friendly to medical students (and residents). After rotating here, the interview felt like catching up with old friends, and we were wined and dined and taken on a tour of Corpus during our second look. If you don’t get the chance to do an EM rotation here, I highly recommend our Wilderness Medicine rotation, aka vacation block. 

Now for what you really came to read about: me. I was an EMT during undergrad at UT, “working” the home football games back when Texas wasn’t quite back (yet) 🤘. My experience in event medicine led me to emergency medicine because of the similar acuity and variety of patients, and because who doesn’t like to go 🚨? But my job is actually just, you know, beach. You can usually find me on a volleyball or pickleball court, and I’m always one race away from getting back into triathlon.
