Michael Harris

Michael Harris, D.O.

Medical School: University of North Texas

Welcome! Thank you for looking into our residency program! My name is Michael Harris I am a Texas native who grew up in the Dallas-Fort Worth area. I attended medical school at Texas College of Osteopathic Medicine in Fort Worth. I am interested in pretty much everything and have too many hobbies to count, of note I have 4 fish tanks (1 Salt water tank), brew beer and wine, I have a hot sauce problem… I also enjoy fishing, cooking, kite boarding, windsurfing, local breweries, and the beach! I was a computer technician who majored in Microbiology and decided I would merge the two and apply to medical school. I came to Corpus Christi for my 3rd and 4th year and fell in love with the city and atmosphere.

Enough about me what about the residency? The volume of both sick patients and procedures is incredible! We are an unopposed regional trauma center, just let that sink in… As residents we are treated with respect, have a significant amount of autonomy and ownership of our patients. Our attendings are always available to assist, whether it’s on the job or outside of the hospital. Also, great parking and amazing food is always a plus! If you have questions or concerns please feel free to reach out! I know myself and many residents/faculty are happy to answer any questions you have.
