Dustin O'Hern, MD
Univ. of Oklahoma
I grew up in rural Southeastern Oklahoma
(Caddo, OK) where I spent my youth reading mythology and
classic literature, playing video games, and helping my family
“work” cattle on the family ranch.
I went to
Southeastern
Oklahoma
State
University where I majored
in Biochemistry and did research in Molecular Biology.
I worked my way through high school and
college working as a cook at the local Dairy Queen and
delivering parts for an auto shop.
I enjoy movies, music (Kings of Leon), and
literature. I
like living near the beach and going out in South Corpus and
downtown.
My time in Corpus has been enjoyable, with many procedures and
the opportunity to teach.
Most attendings have been very friendly and the nursing
staff is very good.
Corpus has nice beaches, weather, and many places to go
out with different types of crowds to appreciate.

Annie Quysner, MD
Univ. of Vermont
I was born and raised in
The Hague, Netherlands and Cambridge, England.
I moved to Massachusetts after graduating from Dutch
high school. I
lived in the Northeast for several years including in Western
Massachusetts, Burlington,
Vermont, and Washington, DC.
I have bachelor degrees in Biochemistry and English,
and a Masters in Physiology.
I worked as a psychiatric counselor before my masters
program.
I enjoy traveling to the
UK to visit my dad, and the
Netherlands
to visit my brothers and friends.
I also enjoy
triathlons, socializing with friends, and riding my
motorcycle.
I like our residency because our ED has a
diverse patient population with a multitude of patient
complaints. The
emergency medicine residents are able to do all procedures in
the ED as well as off-service. The faculty here are good
teachers and very approachable.
I like Corpus for its climate and easy accessibility to
everything (including the beach).
I was able to buy my own house here and the cost of
living is very good.
I have 2 dogs who like to go for runs on the beach.
Corpus is an easy place to make friends.
Last year we went surfing on Christmas Day!

E. Adrian Reyes, MD
UT- Houston
I was raised here in Corpus and attended
college at the University
of Texas in San Antonio where I majored in Biology.
I enjoy spending time with my family and am looking
forward to my second child on the way.
My hobbies and interests include playing Texas Hold’em,
attending sporting events, and going to dinner and the movies.
I also enjoy running and the annual “Beach-to-Bay”
marathon relay.
Corpus is a
friendly place to live and not too small or too big.
Corpus has affordable living and little traffic. You can
enjoy many outdoor activities including fishing, hunting,
surfing, sailing, or just relaxing at the beach.

Jeri Rose, DO
UNTHSC- TCOM
I grew up in Amarillo,
Texas, and attended college at
Texas
Tech
University.
Prior to medical school I worked as a surgical tech in
Amarillo, specializing in
cardiothoracic and vascular surgery.
I enjoy attending motorcycle and car races,
restoring cars, and attending car shows with my husband.
I have traveled to Mexico
and Kenya
on medical mission trips.
I really like our faculty (on and off
service), the autonomy, and opportunity for many procedures.
The weather in Corpus is great!

Amanda Tinsley, DO
UNTHSC- TCOM
I was born in Pampa, Texas, located in
the Panhandle north of
Amarillo.
My family moved several times around Northwest Texas,
including Midland, Vernon, Lubbock, and Amarillo.
We moved to Arkansas when I was a sophomore in high
school. I stayed
in Arkansas
for college, graduating from
Hendrix
College with a BA in
Chemistry.
After graduation I moved to
Austin, Texas, where I began editing high school
science books.
Within a couple of years I decided to pursue a career in
medicine, and the rest is history!
I moved to Corpus at the beginning of my 3rd
year of medical school to complete all my clinical rotations
locally. I love
the coastal living of Corpus and the relaxed and friendly
people. The
weather is temperate and the water is beautiful.
But Corpus lifestyle was only a minor influence in my
decision to stay at CHRISTUS Spohn for residency.
My experiences with the faculty of the emergency
medicine residency inspired my commitment to this program, not
to mention the challenging and varied pathology of the patient
population here.
For all these reasons I feel engaged and fulfilled by my work
and happy in general.
In my free time I try to keep up with
family and friends, and I like to sew.
And of course, there is always shoe shopping!
