Director's
Welcome
Welcome to the Christus Spohn Hospital Memorial- Texas A&M
University Emergency Medicine Residency in Corpus Christi,
Texas! The Christus Spohn Hospital Emergency Medicine
Residency is a three-year (PGY-1 to PGY-3) program
organized to provide an outstanding educational experience
by providing residents with the knowledge, procedural
ability, and judgment to skillfully practice in an
emergency care environment.
Our residency is proud to be on the forefront of emergency
medicine education. The Emergency Medicine Residency
faculty have been carefully selected for their dedication
to the education and professional development of emergency
medicine residents. Together, we have designed a
curriculum that develops emergency physicians with both
clinical excellence and the skills to become leaders
within the emergency medicine community. Each of our
three clinical sites possesses a unique patient population
and, together, treat more than 125,000 emergency
department patients each year. In addition, we incorporate
the resources of the Corpus Christi Fire / EMS Department,
the HALO Flight Ambulance Service, Texas A&M Corpus
Christi and the Texas A&M Health Science Center to provide
a comprehensive emergency medicine education.
I invite you to visit our web site and contact us for more
